Louis Smoller is an intellectual property, commercial, entertainment, and media attorney. His practice involves both transactional and litigation services. Louis has worked hands-on with a wide variety of content creators, new media entrepreneurs, and other creative industry professionals including representing major and independent music labels, publishers, and musicians, major digital start-ups, event companies, media production companies, digital influencers, marketing companies, art galleries, and sports organizations.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Louis was a professional musician (bass player) and played hundreds of shows throughout the United States as a touring artist. Those experiences helped shape Louis’ practice as unlike most attorneys, he is uniquely situated in understanding the personal trials involved with creating media content and being on opposite ends of a negotiating table.

Louis received his Juris Doctor from the University of Miami and an undergraduate degree from the University of Central Florida. Previously, Louis worked at a boutique intellectual property, business, and entertainment focused law firms in New York, NY and Fort Lauderdale, FL. He is licensed to practice in the states of New York and Florida, and before the Southern Districts of Florida and New York.
